Dieses Wochenende sind wir ein wenig tiefer in die indische Kultur abgetaucht. Wie bereits erwaehnt gibt es hier auch eine grosse Anzahl an Indern, die auch weiterhin ihre Rituale ausueben und indische Festlichkeiten begehen. Gestern war es nun soweit und wir machten und auf, das Fest der Farben zu erleben...
Genannt wir das Festival 'Holi' und es wird zur Erinnerung an die Vernichtung der Daemonin Holika gefeiert. (Auf diesem Link naehere Infos) Wir haben uns also mit ein paar Freunden auf den Weg gemacht und erreichten nachmittags den Hindu Tempel, wo es schon rege zur Sache ging. Gekleidet waren wir in Kleidung, die schmutzig werden konnte. Das wurde schon vorher angekuendigt. Alles Wichtige haben wir im Auto gelassen. Dann stuerzten wir uns in die Massen und von links und rechts hat man eine Hand nach der anderen abbekommen, die einem mit einem froehlichen 'Happy Holi' eine Packung Farbe ins Gesicht schleuderte. In kuerzester Zeit sahen wir aus, als seien wir in einen Schminkkasten gefallen. Leider gingen irgendwann die Farben aus, weil der Andrang so gross war. Ich wurde dann gefragt, ob ich noch Farbe haben moechte. Froehlich schrie ich heraus: JAAA. Wuerde ich nun nochmals gefragt werden, wuerde ich wohl 'nein' sagen. Denn schon wurde ich ergriffen und in den naechsten grossen Bottich geworfen, wo ich von oben bis unten mit allem Moeglichen uebergossen wurde. Da gab es kein Entkommen. Und schon wurde aus der Farbenfee ein begossener Pudel :).
Es wurde froehlich weitergetanzt und der Tempel bot kostenfrei vegetarisches, indisches Essen an.
Spaeter ging es dann ab nach Hause, wo ich feststellte, dass die Farbe leider sehr hartnaeckig ist. Meine Unterwaesche ist nun also bunt und meine Korallenkette leider auch. Das hat mich dann doch etwas geaergert, aber selbst Schuld. Auf Arbeit wurde ich gleich angesprochen, ob ich irgendwie mein Rouge falsch gesetzt haette. Denn die Haelfte meines Kopfes ist noch immer Rot. Leider bin ich auch auf der Kopfhaut rot, weshalb ich den Spruch zu hoeren bekam, dass mein Kopf ja wie ein Pavianhintern aussehe...Wie schoen!
Spaeter am Abend gab es noch eine ausgedehnte Karaokerunde (5 Stunden non-stop singen), und dann leider wieder viel zu spaet ins Bett. Wieso sind die Wochenenden so kurz?? Heute ist Montag. Ich freu mich auf Freitag: WOCHENENDEEEE!!
